The title of this blog, Created to be His, came from the last few words of Isaiah 43:7 which says, "...for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him."

Upon reading this verse I learned that we were created for one, ultimate purpose and that is to bring glory to the Lord. Every other calling that is placed upon our lives is secondary to, first, bringing Christ glory in everything we do and everything we say. As a wife, I am created to honor my husband and be a chaste, discreet, helpmeet for him. As a mommy, I am created to serve my family, be the keeper of my home, and raise my little boy in the ways of God. As a Christian, I am created to be longsuffering, joyful, passionate about the truth, servanthearted, and a vessle God can use to bring others to Him. We are created for many things. But above all, we are created for the Lord's glory and praise.

This blog was created for a purpose. My prayer is that through my thoughts and life lessons, this blog will point you to the Giver of all things good. I hope that even in my random posts about life, homemaking adventures, cooking disasters, marriage mysteries and kiddo-raising, that you can see glimpses of Christ. I hope that in my posts on missions and ministry, set-apartness, and purity that you can see that there is so much more to the Christian life than just being saved from hell. I pray you will be blessed, encouraged, inspired, and even humored by a simple "American Jane" who loves the Lord.
