A little about me...
I was blessed to be born into a strong Christian family. I was raised by loving and God-fearing parents who homeschooled me and taught me the Scriptures, and raised me in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Along with being raised in a Christian home, I was born and raised in an Evangelistic home. In 1969, my grandfather surrendered to a call from God: a call to drop everything and take his wife and four sons out on the road singing about His great love and salvation. Years later, all four of his sons surrendered to preach. One of them was my Daddy. So I was brought up on the road. I lived in buses, in Churches, and in the homes of pastors and Church members. Living in an atmosphere where your family sings about Jesus, preaches about Jesus, teaches about Jesus, and makes it their livelihood to spread the news about Jesus... it's bound to stick. By God's grace, I was saved at an early age (to read my testimony, click here).
When I was thirteen years old, the Lord began growing me in BIG ways. I felt the call to surrender to ministry. I didn't know what all that entailed but I knew that my life was created for a bigger purpose and I wanted to be open for whatever the Lord had in store. I knew that, somehow, I would be in ministry work for the rest of my life and that my husband would also somehow be ministry-minded as well. Also at the age of thirteen, I was challenged to go deeper in my walk with Christ and make Him the Lover of my soul. I made a commitment then to not play the dating game, to remain abstinent until my wedding day, and to save my heart, my body, and my first kiss for my husband. It wasn't easy. I wasn't perfect. I struggled and I stumbled. But through His unspeakable grace, He gave me the strength to remain true to my vow.
Three months into our marriage, God saw fit to place a tiny little "arrow" in my womb. Nine months after that, we welcomed our precious little boy, Nathan, into the world and into our arms. In June of 2012, we learned that I was expecting our second child!! Our little sweetheart girl, whom we named Selah, arrived February 12, 2013. The Bible says that children are a heritage of the Lord; a blessing; a reward. We are praising God for what we hope are many rewards!
